COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: October 26, 2026 · Version 1.0

This website does not use cookies to track you. We set no cookies of our own. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no Facebook or TikTok tracker, no session recording and no profile of you anywhere. That is why you do not see a cookie pop-up when you arrive — there is nothing to ask you about.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognize your browser later. Cookies can be useful (keeping you logged in) or invasive (following you from site to site to build an advertising profile). Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tracking scripts.

2. What this site sets

CategoryOn this site
Our own cookiesNone.
Analytics (e.g. Google Analytics)None. We do not measure visits.
Advertising / retargeting pixelsNone.
Social media trackersNone. Our Instagram, TikTok and Facebook links are plain links — nothing from those platforms loads on this site, and they learn nothing about you until you click.
Session recording / heatmapsNone.
Local storageNone. Nothing about you is saved in your browser.
Strictly necessary cookies from our hostOur host (Netlify) may set a short-lived technical cookie for security or spam protection on a page where you submit the contact form. It carries no advertising identifier and is not used to track you across sites.

3. What loads from somewhere else

Almost nothing, and honesty requires us to name the one thing there is:

That is the whole list. Even the typefaces are served from our own domain instead of from Google's font service, so opening a page here sends nothing about you to any other company. The images are ours and are served from here too.

Google Maps is linked, not embedded: no map loads inside our pages, so Google learns nothing from you unless you click through to it.

4. Do we need a cookie consent banner?

Here is our reasoning, in plain language. Consent banners exist mainly because of European law (the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules) and, in the United States, because of state privacy laws that give people the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of their data. Both of those turn on the same thing: whether a site drops non-essential cookies or trackers.

This site drops none. There is no advertising cookie to opt out of and no data to sell. No current U.S. federal law, and no Nebraska law, requires a cookie banner for a site like this one. So instead of a pop-up that asks you to accept something that does not exist, we publish this page.

If that ever changes, the banner comes first. The day we add analytics, a Facebook or TikTok pixel, an embedded map or a reservation widget, this site will get a proper consent tool that loads nothing non-essential until you choose — and this page will be updated to say exactly what was added and when.

5. How to control cookies yourself

You never need our permission to control your own browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and block third-party requests, under Settings → Privacy. Blocking everything on this site will not break it — at most, the headline typeface falls back to a standard one. You can also browse this site in a private or incognito window; it works exactly the same.

For a broader opt-out of advertising across the web, the industry tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org cover participating ad networks — none of which are on this site.

6. Changes to this policy

If what this site loads ever changes, we will update this page and its date. Nothing non-essential will be added quietly.
